Dear Fempreneur Family,
It is my honour and privilege to be a part of this dynamic and progressive community of women entrepreneurs of India. Not only are we together contributing towards the country’s GDP, job creation, gender integration, skilling, sustainability, culture, etc., but also focusing on the development of those who need our support.
Being the wind beneath their wings is what connects us in a common purpose and passion towards the overall progression of our beloved nation.
Women entrepreneurs in India, comprising roughly 14% of the nation’s business owners, are driving innovation and growth, with a projected $700 billion contribution to GDP. Women are dominating sectors like tech, fintech, skincare, retail, and biotechnology. Female-led ventures create jobs and contribute significantly to GDP.
The government, through platforms like Startup India, offers various schemes, including:
- MUDRA Yojana for Women: Provides microloans to women entrepreneurs
- Stand-Up India: Focuses on loans for women, SC, and ST entrepreneurs
- TREAD: Trade Related Entrepreneurship Assistance and Development
- Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP): A NITI Aayog initiative offering mentorship and support
- Mahila Coir Yojana: Specialized training for women in the coir industry
This year, Fempreneur India is focused on driving strong execution and growth through structured initiatives. We aim to organise events across 10 cities, recognise women entrepreneurs through dedicated awards, and create consistent learning opportunities through monthly and fortnightly expert-led sessions. These sessions will cover key areas such as marketing, business growth, branding, and leadership, ensuring practical value for every member.
I request you to put aside some of your valuable time for a few networking initiatives:
- Fempreneur Hour – Monthly online meet: First Sunday of the month, 4–5 PM
- Fempreneur Talk – Fortnightly expert knowledge sessions by Fempreneur members: 7th & 15th of each month
- Fempreneur Meet – Quarterly in-person regional meets
- Fempreneur Friends – A directory with contact details and profiles of all members, arranged alphabetically city/region-wise
A mutually agreed structure and timing can be decided for the above through a poll and shared accordingly.

We’re looking for mission-driven leaders to launch and run chapters. This role is hands-on: host meetings, build local partnerships, and grow your chapter — not a title for those only after position.
